To ensure complete traceability of each individual hide within the production cycle, Wega provides an OCR code reading station equipped with camera, built-in lighting system, and AI-boosted re-reading algorithm.
Each Wega Track&Trace station allows safe and repeatable reading of the alphanumeric/QR code or Data Matrix present on the leather, in order to identify the product. Wega Track&Trace can be conveniently coupled with area and thickness measurement systems to combine process data and associate it with the leather being analyzed.
All data related to the leather can then be transmitted in real time to the customer’s ERP or to Wega’s data supervision and analysis platform.
Wega Track&Trace can be deployed at all strategic process points for data collection, whether it be area, thickness, temperature, product dosing, or other parameters. This is aimed at careful yield monitoring and process optimization.
