measuring bar with optical sensors for area control
The REFLEX bar by Wega consists of a series of optical sensors that concentrate and guide the infrared component of light reflected from the leather surface being measured.
This patented system eliminates the light scattering effect and ensures precise and reliable quality control. In its REFLEX-E version, the measuring bar is integrated with a dedicated emitter that allows it to operate even in darkening mode, ensuring complete reliability and applicability even with particularly dark or complex leather surface finishes. The system comes with an industrial panel PC equipped with WEGA INFINITY HMI operator interface, through which it is possible to set all recipe parameters and view production data provided by the REFLEX-E bar.
The system can interface with any customer MES for bidirectional data exchange via RS 232, LAN, ETHERNET and WiFi ports.
The REFLEX measuring bar allows inline area measurement of leathers up to a maximum speed of 50m/min. Furthermore, with the patented proprietary management algorithm, it is possible to manage separate and simultaneous measurement of multiple adjacent hides. The program individually distinguishes the leathers, counts them, performs separate measurement hide by hide and purifies the area measurement from any holes present in the individual leather.

In the Belt configuration, the Reflex system is supplied completely integrated with a belt transport system, effectively becoming a stand-alone machine, which can be equipped with a stamper and other traceability systems.

Wega Infinity
Wega INFINITY is the new HMI (Human Machine Interface) system that allows easy and integrated access to all machine functions, alarm history and all production data collected for each processed batch. As an option, it is possible to access Wega Infinity also via tablet in order to view measurement data in real time even from a mobile device.
